Ernest is a savvy commercial person with over 15 years hands-on experience in the FMCG, specifically Sales and Distribution, with a bias to Telcom, Mobile Money Services, and Fintech at senior management level. He has experience in startup businesses, designing, and implementation of effective Sales and Distribution models aimed at acquiring quality active agents and users, thereby contributing to growth on revenue and customer market share. Ernest has undertaken successful projects including booth and container deployment under Airtel. He also managed the KYC implementation following the Government of Zambia directive to have all sim card owners registered under tight timelines, which meant ringfencing an active customer base and revenues. He also undertook a successful turnaround of Zamtel under LAP Green which saw a sharp growth on active subscribers (Mobile Money and GSM) and revenues with positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA).
